வாங்கடா வந்து வந்தனம் பண்ணுங்கடா! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ஓரம்போ ருக்குமணி வண்டி வருது was not a song about the protagonist who tries to learn bicycle.  Contrary to the popular perception, the song was actually about a downtrodden Dalit-Bahujan person(like Ilayaraja) who wanted to overcome the obstacles placed before him by this elite upper class & caste casteist society.  It was written by Ilayaraja's brother Gangai amaran. And I'm not surprised to know the fact that it was banned by upper caste dominated All India Radio(AIR).  Does any brahmin or Upper caste tolerate a Dalit-bahujan who tries to destroy their monopoly and their establishment and march upward? You could notice this in the lyrics like, " பாளையம் பண்ணபுரம் சின்னதாயி பெத்த மகன் ஏறியே வரான் டோய் " is actually Ilayaraaja.  And in " ரோட்டுல எல்லாம் மேடு ரொம்ப இருக்கு " is nothing but upper caste domination & it's obstacle,  and in ஏத்தி விடுங்க ...

இளையராஜா எனும் கலகக்காரன் 🔥

This is from கலகக்காரன் இசைஞானி இளையராஜாவின் கேட்டேளே அங்கே அதப் பாத்தேளா இங்கே song. This too was banned by Upper caste- Brahmin dominated All India Radio from airing at that time.  In this song Our Ilayaraja fused folk instrument Parai(பறை) with the dance of Brahmin lady.  Brahmins, who saw and still see Parai as a music form of lower caste/class and usage of this Parai(பறை மேளம்) for a brahmin lady's dance triggered them, as they saw this fusion as an intrusion of low caste art form into their ill conceived "pure" space.  How lovely 😍 our Ilayaraja polluted the notion of fricking purity the upper castes ingrained in their mind.😂 இசைஞானிக்கே End Card போட பாத்தீங்களாடா டேய் 😂
